I mostly read memoirs or contemporary fiction. Sometimes I dip my feet in fantasy. Also, there’s a place in my heart for middle grade books

Based on the title i thought this was going to be a negative post, such as, which dusty old classic did your teacher make you read in high school that you hated so much you never wanted to read again?

I like books about the human condition. I also like books that give me the chance to live in the life of a setting I’ve never lived before, such as, what it would be like to be a culinary student in Paris.

I often feel nostalgia for The Clique series. I’ve tried rereading them… they’re not great through an adults eyes. But I read those ALLLLL through middle school.

Those books are great when you first start them. But the author seems to be a one-trick pony and the series did not need to be as long as it was. I also got to book 9 or 10 and stopped because they were becoming so repetitive.
