Also, glad to see other historical food channel addicts are represented here. I don't even like to fucking cook...

I was laid off, once. In the 2 years prior, I was fortunate enough to live so below my means that when layoff came around I could say, "when I said this quality of life or fuck off, I fucking meant it; fuck off with that bullshit" and it not lead to a life of destitution. For those not so lucky, my condolences. I have faith you'll make it, all the same. <3 As asshole-ish as it may seem in such a time, try to use it as a learning experience (as recently got Reddit airtime). You really can only depend on yourself.

I imagine some younger folks would be surprised to know you can make popcorn in a pan.
Or a cannon.

I would expect the Canadian version to be the best since they invented it and love it most. If Kraft tried to pass off the cheaper version on y'all there would be rioting in the streets.

My daughter got two giant books that contains all of the Peanuts strips when she was 6 and a year later, despite reading through both books multiple times, still reads them before bed a night or few per week. Thanks, Mr. Shulz.

Bummer. Obviously haven't had one in awhile but I always thought it was a tasty fish sandwich.

First bright blue LED I ever saw was on the PS2. I got a week to play with it pre-release due to work. Before and after gaming sessions at night, that piercing blue light felt like the goddamned future.
