At first I was thinking maybe this would be a replacement for the big Ukrainian plane AN225 that was blown up but no. They should build one of those next.

A few modern ones I can think of would be Frequently Asked Questions About Time Travel, The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy, Shaun of the Dead, Tucker and Dale versus Evil, John dies at the end, I could go on all day. I would say cult films are alive and well.

The rich people are already planning their exit strategy. I think they’re going to be sadly mistaken though. Once we go down they go down too eventually. But you’re right that first dominoes been knocked over and it’s only going to get worse from here. I probably won’t be around for the worst of it but it just sucks that we all have to pay for a handful of greedy people.

It’s the domino effect that is the problem. With the melting ice caps, poison rainwater, Global warming, waters going barren of life. it’s all downhill from here. they’re starting to backtrack but not fast enough. We can’t turn the clocks back on the damage that’s been done.

Cows do the same thing they will eat their favorite types of plants first and leave the regular stuff for last. They learnt to set up line feeding for more efficiency in field grazing.

I remember building model airplanes as a kid and you could buy models for planes that were still top-secret. It seems like the model aircraft people always knew what was coming out before anybody else did back in the day. I’m curious if they have any six GEN fighter models that will come to fruition down the road as well.

Last I heard in my city they were only using them in certain areas. But yes they do have that tech. They may have expanded it here because they really cracked down on people shooting straight up into the sky. They made a new law for it and everything. It doesn’t stop it though. Guy at my work had a 40 Cal round come through the roof onto the floor in front of his desk. He didn’t want to sit in there for a week. Another friend of mine had one go through his roof and out the window on his truck. But that was in a different city.

Reply to Rather than heralding a new era of prosperity for rural and remote regions, remote working, inspired by the pandemic, is exacerbating the global urban-rural divide in the digital platform labour market by giuliomagnifico
I could see remote jobs being really bad for rural areas as well. Typically the jobs don’t pay as well but the houses are cheaper. If people with remote jobs that make much more money move-in they may drive up all the home prices and push the rural people out. But I guess with how things have inflated poor people are probably already having a hard time finding places to live

The first domino of climate change has been knocked over. I don’t think there’s any stopping what’s going to come next, we are in trouble. We’re going to be seeing a lot of plagues, famine, floods, disasters and disease in the near future. Past generations knew the consequences but they didn’t care.
