No, they're still looking for the missing boater. This was a different boat they found overturned.

>They are believed to be an Indian family and a Romanian family who were attempting to cross into the U.S. from Canada illegally, according to police.

Probably the little boy was born in Canada (birth tourism is a thing) but the rest of the family weren't eligible for immigration in any of the legal ways, so they tried going to the US.

A young lion escaped from a small roadside zoo in rural Ontario in the 80's or 90's. Still a cub, but not tiny - about the size of a large dog.

A woman was out for a walk with her dog when it started barking and growling like crazy, and out bounds this lion from the woods. She ran home and called 911. Several times. They kept hanging up on her and warning her about making nuisance calls to emergency services. Eventually they got pissed off enough to send someone out there to set her straight.

They arrived to find it sitting on her dock, practicing his big boy roar.

He was safely retrieved by the zoo and the enclosure fortified.

When I was in 7th grade, a dog followed me home from school. He was malnourished and just in rough shape, but sweet and goofy and just so loveable. My parents said I had to try to find his owners, so I did. Someone recognized him and told me his people didn't want him, so they took him to the park and drove away. That broke my heart. My parents, too.

We spent the next 18 years making sure he knew he was wanted and loved and the Best Dog Ever. 24 years later, I still have a huge picture of him on the wall, and miss him every day.
