The guy who did all of the Metal Gear games takes a picture of the Red Hot Chili Peppers’ guitarist. That’s a hell of a crossover right there.

Fuck the RHCP. From the band’s wiki page:

In 1990, Anthony Kiedis was convicted of sexual battery and indecent exposure after a concert at George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia, on April 21, 1989. Kiedis exposed himself and pressed his penis to a woman’s face against her wishes.[276][277]

In Kiedis's autobiography Scar Tissue, he admitted to having sexual relations with a 14-year-old fan who was the daughter of a Louisiana police chief despite her telling Kiedis she was underage. He wrote the song "Catholic School Girls Rule" about the incident.[276]

In 1986, Kiedis dated the 16-year old Ione Skye, daughter of Donovan, despite her being below the age of consent in California.[282]

In 2016, former music executive Julie Farman penned an essay in which she discussed being sexually harassed by two members of the Red Hot Chili Peppers in 1991.[279][283][284]

The look of a guy at the peak of his talents. All their stuff since BSSM has been of pop-infused mail'd-it-in trash. The 90s were not kind to music imo.

This was almost 40 years ago. Things that are socially acceptable change. Times change. Not saying what he did was ok but this was not uncommon in Hollywood (and elsewhere) at the time.

There's 2 guitarists that come to mind where they are 0% technical and it just 'comes to them'. It seems like they are channelling directly from the heavens and it really makes the music seem ethereal and magic. That would be John Frusciante and Mike McCready.

Nobody fucking cares mate.

  1. you need to learn to make the difference between a person and their work. People like the rhcp because they make great music. Not for their personal life.
  2. they were on both drugs and alcohol most of the time in the 90s, good luck being an upstanding person under these circumstances
  3. this is a picture of frusciante go virtue signaling somewhere else.

I got to see his debut with the Chili Peppers at the Roxy, a small club in Hollywood. Another band was playing that night and they surprised everyone by showing up, getting up onstage, and playing a couple of songs. JF was amazing and was playing Hillel’s guitar. Of course the place went nuts.

Anyone defending their actions is a piece of shit.

I’ve been drunk and high plenty of times, never raped anyone or felt like raping people. It’s an excuse made by weak people such as yourself.

“Separating the music from the artist” is bullshit because listening to their music IS directly supporting the artist in this day and age.

You’d have a different opinion if it was your daughter or sister he raped.

Adolescents having sex with adults was more common, yes.

Never heard of "Lolita"? Someone wrote a book about it, and it became famous. Can you imagine it? That's just incredibile.

Today, we know that is NEVER right. Should we hate the past? And cancel everything happened, and make a taboo just to talk about it, so that it will be forgotten and future generations will never know? Or just accept that it was different?

I kinda like Anthony as the frontman while loving the all of instrument plays.

but the most recent songs with frusciante returning, in the first impression, Anthony part is a bit unbearable.

i might change my mind after relistening it few more times, but that one impression enough to keep me away for awhile despite the hype of Frusciante returning.

Old school rockstar, complete with all of the baggage.

i remember Beck mangaka meeting them, i forgot whether its anthony or chad that kind enough to engage with that random fan. Frusciante was on rage mode apparently due to touring stress, Beck mangaka almost flee the scene if not for either anthony or chad telling the manga its ok, its normal.

I remember reading a young female journalist ended getting sandwiched between half naked anthony and flea, she was genuinely afraid and don't know how to flee.

again, old school rockstar, with all of the baggage.

even David Bowie admitted to have sex with two 16 years old fans (the two apparently friends) who apparently offered him their virginity.

its a good thing times have somewhat changes.

Lol nah dude I've actually read lolita, the narrator briefly considers murdering her mother before she dies in an accident and he's able to kidnap the girl. Imagine whining about people not understanding your nuanced opinions and then bringing up a book you're only vaguely familiar with to support your point

Edit: also people are literally talking about it and not forgetting, that's what upset you so much in the first place. So I don't even know what your point is, you're a fucking idiot
