I would sacrifice my life and and my ability to strike the enemy to shoo that cat away from the blast zone without even giving it a second thought. Get out of there, kitty. You're gotta get hit with hot gas and debris

Why would a cat be bothered by the sounds of war and chaos? It’s like the sound of minstrels to them.

I’d like to think it didn’t even flinch when a rocket was fired over its head

One of my cats would 100% be that way. Some cats are surprisingly loyal, they just have different perimeters than dogs, and difference nuances. My lil guy hates water (as most cats) but if I'm in a bath, he's gonna save me by getting in with me and causing a fuss till I get out. And man does he meow like its the end of the world for both of us, but he's gonna save me! (Note: He does not get bathed, so its really not natural for him). He also HATES it when I go anywhere without him, and the second I'm back he's meowing like there's no tomorrow (with some seriously aggressive head bumps, and rubs - as if to say "You jerk, now I have to mark you all over again. Don't go away! ).

This ‘unbothered’ cat would quickly become a ‘bothered’ cat once he pulled that trigger.

My dog grew up with me on construction sites. I actually found him on my way to work one day. He doesn't react to loud noises.... Other than garbage trucks.

Found this out the hard way. I had him tied to a shawarma places sign when a garbage truck pulled up. He noped the fucked out of there sign in tow.

I had to chase him and the sign down the street. I eventually caught him and had to walk back and apologize both of us tails between our legs.

not uncommon, it’s been noted that cats/kittens born on active military bases will sleep thru firefights

My heart breaks for all these animals who must be so terrified. Losing their homes and family. Hearing these awful sounds that they don’t understand.

Humans are able to voice and flee if they can. Most animals would be left behind. I’d grab animals over everything. I couldn’t live knowing they were left behind.

The area directly in front of the RPG is safe, its the area directly behind the RPG that is dangerous.

There is an initial rocket motor that boosts it out of the tube, it stops firing before it leaves the tube so the soldier doesn't get hit with the exhaust. Anything behind the tube DOES get hit with exhaust and injuries result if you are standing there. After a short distance a 2nd rocket motor fires for it to travel the rest of the way.

Hes keeping the cat is the safe(r) zone, where he can also keep an eye on it without moving.
