I think it was the BVO. Mountain dew nowadays just tastes like carbonated five alive since they phased pit the deliciously unhealthy brominated vegetable oil.

Mountain dew throwback has the old recipe

Since the 60's mountain Gorillas are very closely monitored and observed for research and conservation purposes. If they've rarely been observed do it it, its safe to conclude it rarely happens.

how do you pour a gorilla into a glass?

Very carefully. Don't want too much foam on your gorilla.

yeah well they dont sweat and probably have a lot higher % water in the solid food they eat so kinda makes sense. still kinda weird cause water is so essential

pickles55 t1_j2apfwp wrote

They're surrounded by wet leaves all day, and they eat leaves that are full of water and also covered in water. They're getting plenty of water, they just don't have to go stick their face in a river to drink it

michaelvsaucetookdmt t1_j2bju2p wrote

yeah obviously thats what i was saying. DRINKING water seems so essential as a non-gorilla

Wildcats also get most of their water from the meat they eat. Providing water dishes for your house cats is really only necessary because we feed them such strong diets of dry food. Delta why you should feed your cats wet food, preventing a lot of kidney diseases from a life of being under hydrated

Theblackjamesbrown t1_j2bb1p6 wrote

Cats kidneys are so efficient they can hydrate by drinking sea water.

Also the reason their urine is highly toxic.

I guess this explains why my families old outdoor cat just never drank water lol

Some primatology is shockingly recent. Jane Goodall commented how before she started her research into chimps in the late 1950s, only a couple of scientists had actually observed chimps in the wild, only briefly, and none of them up close.

Koalas are the same. Well, not the same, but they also donā€™t usually need to drink water and get water from the leaves they eat. The word ā€œkoalaā€ comes from a word in the Australian Aboriginal Dharug language gula, meaning no water.

Bushfire and extreme weather does sometimes drive them to seek water.
