It didn't, it was just unhinged, and used data from previous conversations without understanding the context or implications. Users also baited Tay into saying certain responses, and then claimed that it said them on its own.

Its fine. AI seem like they have good values. Its not a problem yet. Perhaps when AGI rolls around it will be a problem, because AGI may be able to reason why it should do what humans tell it.

Block chain is basically a way to do transactions super secretly.
When you use a block chain coin to make a secret transaction, you get a coin (online)called a bitcoin.
This coin is very special. And there are only a limited amount of it in the world.
Also its very hard for someone to crack your bitcoin and find out what transaction you did.
Bitcoins now have a value attached to it, by professionals in the finance market. And people buy and sell bitcoins from each other so that they can make profits from the rise and falls in the price of bitcoins.

lol, I like your hardcore takes. But I think you are probably a sportsy person, so most of your friends are similar. The sad truth is that many people are addicted to their devices, as we speak, the number of children who play outside as opposed to spend all day on their phones or PlayStations is decreasing.
The same goes for teens and adults. Now imagine an even better tech comes along, which lets them live in a fantasy world which is even more immersive, do you think they will pass up the opportunity.

for me, it made me at first seek out more human interaction, then I was reminded people are not like the AI, they can sometimes be rude, or tiresome to talk to. And I went straight back to the AI.

People are ignorant, and will always choose the easy way out, even if you warn them. I agree, we should consider the mental health side effects of these technologies, but I feel like if enough people use them, most people will also jump on board anyway.

true, and people are already working on ways to create better A.I. using existing A.I. so AGI may arrive quite abruptly soon.

Reply to What if language IS the only model needed for intelligence? by wowimsupergay
language is a way to express ideas, ideas come from what we experience and think about, in order to experience things and to know that you as opposed to someone else or everything else is experiencing things, you need senses, visual, auditory, sensational etc.
LLMs maybe be able to replicate our thinking patterns by analysing our texts but, for them to be truly intelligent they need to be able to see as well and understand what we are referring to when we say "dog" or "animal"
