Honestly it's all about the manager.

One I stopped at recently where the lady who was making the breakfast sandwiches had a customer bring her German Shepherd into the food prep area, feed the dog hot dogs from the cooler, let the dogs lick her hands and face and went right back to making breakfast sandwiches without changing gloves or washing hands.

I like dogs and all but that's nasty AF.

I've been to that particular location a bunch of times and it always looks like a bomb went off in there (dirty, boxes everywhere, workers smoking butts outside the door right next to the propane tanks.) Total shitshow.

It's a tricky one. Even if you do find one that is fully remote all it takes is one person in your manager -> CEO chain to make an "asses in seats" edict and it's game over.

Those types love reading work-think articles in HBR and make bold moves to make their mark on the firm.

Manchester has some new stuff going up.

Good luck finding a job that is remote today that will not flip to hybrid in Boston or full time in Boston/Burlington, etc. in the next year. You're going to want to be close to 93 or 95.

This. Since the Haseotes family sold a few years back many of the shops, even the recently remodeled ones have gone to pot. Some new stores now have no managers and they are filthy (even by Cumby's standards) and some of the stuff I've seen employees do with food would get them shut down if a health inspector saw it.

These days ours is little more than a place for cheaper gas, cheaper coffee and a spot for people to use the restrooms to wash their balls and shoot up.

Happened to us. A family member called up the neighbors' oil company to 1) let them know that they filled the wrong tank so our neighbors did not run dry and 2) to settle up with them for the oil that we'd use anyway.

The guy on the other end immediately got mean and aggressive with my family member and went right to battle mode demanding full payment. They got a call back a few minutes later letting them know they could eat a bag of dicks for talking to a nice lady like that.

Never did get a bill for the mis-delivered oil.

A sawzall will make short work of it. Perfect world you'd have the refrigerant removed before cutting into it.

It will make a mess (lots of foam and sharp edges, and you'll get about 10 seconds of hissing once you hit the refrigerant lines if you don't get the refirgerant removed first.)

I bet you could get in on a Planet Fitness day pass. They are a no-frills gym over here and they will email you a one-day trial pass for free (at least they did pre-Covid). There's one not far from the airport and a couple others in town. I'd recommend checking out their website.

The lockers run small so you may have to get creative on keeping tabs on your luggage. You'll also need your own soap, shampoo and towels there.

Safe travels and enjoy.

You'd probably be hard pressed to find too many people that were members a few years back that would still vouch for them. Lots of understandable saltiness remains I'm sure.
