Oh, I was talking about real life people, not on Reddit. I am always discussing shows with friends and co-workers.

I hear what you are saying, but people talk about Yellowstone. It's a water cooler show. I was just curious why LOTR hasn't become a water cooler show.

Do you think it is potentially an awards show contender?

Does anyone know how well the series is doing? I don't ever see it talked about, a la The Last of Us or The White Lotus.

Reply to Considering he was a big star on 90210 back during the 1990s, why do you think Luke Perry didn't develop a big career after he left the show ala say Johnny Depp who became a movie star after leaving his very own teen drama, 21 Jump Street? by KevTravels
8 Seconds didn't do very well at the box office.

I'll check it out. When it comes to 90's sitcoms, there is no denying "Roseanne" was hysterical.

Knots Landing did this perfectly. It ran on CBS for 14 years. Each week was like catching up with the neighbors. Given its longevity, the characters (and viewers) were taken through courtships, marriages, divorces, murders, deaths.

I think the time is ripe for one of the old timey networks to bring back the movie-of-the-week. Paging Michele Lee!

But it didn't end with it was all a dream. It ended with Nancy, Tina, et al all being locked in Glenn's car. I liked the open ending.
