The past 5-6 months are not the most active months for severe storms. It's coming!

I stand corrected--just saw a flash of lightning. Phew.

My wife saw the flash walking outside as well, I stepped outside and heard 4 or 5 booms. I love listening to thunder...that didn't sound like thunder.

Temporary reprieve. I know it's only one company, but I keep thinking about what CoStar hiring another *two thousand* employees here will do to the already strained housing supply. :/

I thought that’s the case, but I’m wondering if you have to turn off your hot water heater? Wondering if with no water the heating element would just burn up.

Got just a few degrees above freezing this afternoon to thaw our frozen water pipes. After showering in icy water yesterday and today, it’s a Christmas miracle. 🙌

It really feels like you can’t put any stock in the official numbers anymore. I and everyone I know got covid in August when the state and city numbers were flat. Also no one reports when they have it, so almost all cases go unnoticed.

Chewy’s is most certainly not an NYC bagel. I had a breakfast sandwich from there a few days ago and it was delicious, but the bagel itself is soft and pillowy…nowhere near NYC style.

Tried Akida for the first time and was very impressed. Something about the slightly shabby exterior and interior had me a little nervous, but the fish was very fresh tasting and I think reasonably priced for very good sushi. Very quick and polite staff, too.

Also tried Chewy's bagels. They make a very good breakfast sandwich (better than Nate's, I think), but I think Nate's still has the best bagel over all.

I heard it too, but further away. It sounded like faint thunder and I could have sworn I heard it two or three times, not just the one.
