>"Didn't you see the [expletive] sign?!" No, what sign. "The one on the door, you idiot!"

Here I was thinking American customer service wasn't supposed to be shite. I'd have left and taken the fucking sign with me.

No backpacks allowed?

I go most places with my backpack.

It's an extension of myself.

They can go fuck themselves. I'd not be going to that shitty shop, even if they removed that rule.

Being cheerful is a good way to get told to fuck off if you work customer service in the UK. The hack is to get to the same level as the customer. If the customer is pissed off, join them in being pissed off.

I'm a big fan of Japanese music so most of what I like is unknown here since, unlike Korea, their music industry doesn't reach global audiences (despite being the 2nd biggest music industry in the world)

But there's a few bands I like which are fairly unknown even over there. Marie Ueda is fantastic. I can't think of a bad song of theirs. They've do alt rock music and I love it. Also the singer does some great solo acoustic and acoustic guitar supported by piano stuff.

Kind of yes, kind of no.

A carrot has a high amount of carbs and would definitely be bad for a rabbit if served by a human to a domesticated (or wild) rabbit.

However,

In the wild a rabbit would eat the leaves and top of the carrot. These are actually pretty good for the rabbit.

For this meme to be more realistic, the rabbit wouldn't be pulling the carrot out of the ground. It would nibble the leaves and top and then leave. Other animals, insects and micro-organisms would consume the rest of the carrot.

This reminds me of the following music video: https://youtu.be/SKZWU-mj8No

Set in what used to be the port town of Iioka, Chiba. But is now not recognised as a town but a suburb of Asahi city due to population drops from people moving to the city.

You'll see lots of these beautiful places that are frozen in time in music videos because they look great and being abandoned/partially abandoned, they are easy to film in.

I stopped working for that company for other reasons, but one thing that made me happy to work for them was that they allowed me to make outbound calls to customers for any reasonably purpose, and allowed me to share my company email with customers too.

I was always above the average handle time (how long my calls last) most months, but never got in trouble for it.

If I wasn't allowed to go the extra mile for customers that genuinely needed support and help, I would not have stayed there nearly as long as I did, it would make a 12 hour shift of being shouted and screamed at feel worth it.

These lifelines are great. When I worked in a call centre I'd get customers coming through with suicidal thoughts wanting to speak to someone... I'm empathetic but I'm not the right person to speak to, so I'd transfer them over to a suicide lifeline and call them back after an hour to check up on them and every time they were doing much better.

In the UK we have the samaritans.
