ideally - wouldn't go farther down monongahela than church. past that can still be nice but is more block by block

funny - I've always felt like the borough is too demolition happy and loses poor but salvageable buildings often.
generally, the farther you are from rankin the better. the northern portions are pretty nice.

Sorry, to clarify, the fettermans asked and council turned them down. Here's an article from when it happened: https://web.archive.org/web/20190429090228/https://theincline.com/2018/11/15/john-fetterman-asked-braddock-council-to-appoint-his-wife-interim-mayor-members-say/

They asked she be appointed mayor of Braddock, so she must have some interest

I think it goes back to when fetterman suggested appointing her as his replacement in Braddock

not in PA, but I was at mt vernon last summer and while we were at washington's old tomb, two bald eagles flew out over the river and perched in a branch right next to the tomb. it was comically patriotic

I have the brown one, they definitely move some major air. I was picking up an old GE Twin Automatic and the guy said since I like old fans he would throw in the lasko for $10. great deal, that was probably 5 years ago. every spring and summer it I run it pretty much nonstop during the day. the pair looks great, always liked the blue ones.

a lot of mining was done in swissvale by the dickson stuart company 1860s-1870s. it was the first major industry here besides farming.
