Hate to admit this because the 6xx is my first headphone, but yea, that one can feel a bit too bloomy at time... that said, I recently got a headphone that is basically the first ever version of the HD 600, and that veil is not at all present... the bass is punchy but not bloomy, and the closer soundstage of the HD 600/650 makes it much better for listening over long periods of time.

But the 660s has the worst sub bass response of any of the 6x0 series... How can it be preferred for professional work over the s2, 600, or 650? I can understand the preference for the tame treble. Personally, I find the s2's treble to be much clearer, but I can still understand why some people say it fits the 660s's sound better.

I do think different drivers can help accentuate sound. I mean, if I made a headphone using the driver that come with electival engineering kits and have it tuned bery similarly or exactly to an hd 600, its going to sound like shit conpared to an hd 600 because the driver will get everything loud enough but lack texture, bass will sound like simple thuds with no detail and high hats will sound blunted lacking any stayong power. Granted, the difference among actual headphones is smaller but still noticable.

Literally this! The cheap chifi iem fad was a neat novelty back when the chu and the zero were the only real game in the market. Not even a year later, and the market is utterly oversaturated.

Wait, when did DankPods cover the hd 200 pro? Must have missed that video. But otherwise, I dont want to sound mean, as since you're just starting; but I would toally rec returning some of these and investing in something like a 560s or 58x which sound so much better than anything here for $150

You already own austrian k701's? Then what's the problem here? If not, just get an austrian one. They show up every now and again on used markets.

No, it's funny because it's such a hilariously awful approach to such a serious topic in what was supposed to be a comedy comic.

Im a senny fan, and I 6 even know this subreddot existed wtf??? But I think they had a firmware update that actually improved the ANC because when I first got them, it felt weaker. But I tried a friends xm4, and the anc is a noticable step up on the sonys. But the sound on the momentum is much better, def one of the better sounding bluetooth headphones.
