This is what annoys me as well. I'm in somewhat agreement on the MBTA issue in the fact that they're relinquishing control to the state for some zoning because they're adjacent to....the wonderful service the MBTA provides?
But at the same time it's like their paying people to build up more and more developments without taking anything else into account. They just built a new middle school which is already running out of space and yet they're still approving more permits which will add more strain to the schools.

Agreed with the other answers in that CMSC is the best around and have been doing it for a long time.
You wont be able to get them to give you a 1 hour lesson and then use their car at the test though. I believe they have a 3-lesson minimum before you can use them for your road test.

yea; I don't want to make any assumptions to their activity, but only posting once a week makes me think they're somewhat inactive. The only other non-automod on the sub seems to have stopped posting a year ago.
Seems like a good enough reason to add at least one more mod.

Overall favorite is tough since there are so many that excel at different things.
If you're not in the mood for anything specific, the tasting menu at Deadhorse Hill has always been good if you don't mind letting the chef decide.
If you'd rather choose what you're ordering but want a variety of options, Joey's and Peppercorns are consistently good.

Would you mind offering a hint at which Facebook group(s)? Even a PM would be appreciated. I'm in district and haven't heard much but I feel like a lot of discussions happen in Facebook groups which I don't know about.
I've always heard similar things as what /u/legalpretzel mentioned. Princeton and Paxton voting against increases/overrides.

I mean yeah there's a depth to the frustration, but it adds nothing to conversation. I tend to agree that the same questions get asked and there's little variation in responses, but if you're going to complain that only trendy restaurants are mentioned.....add to the discussion.
I've lived here 30+ years and I still read through the responses to see if I'm missing out on anything as I haven't been everywhere, and a ton of places have changed owners multiple times while keeping the same name.

Brattle is good though every now and again it just seems off. Not sure if it's a change in sauce or something else but they are a reliable Greek-style pie. Love the calzones there.

I've seen in the other threads that it's gone downhill so maybe that's part of it, though growing up I never really fawned over it the way others seem to.

Good to know! I was going to add them but haven't been since the new owners took over and wasn't sure if they still did pizza nights. Definitely recommend if things haven't changed. Unfortunately the last time I was there for pizza, there was still a dirt lot.
bartnd t1_jb5gbfl wrote
Might be a rough take but I think a lot of love goes to Frankies due to just being different.
90% of the pizza in Worcester is Greek style and most of them taste the same.
Outside of the generic greek-style you have:
- Birch Tree Bread: Often mentioned with Volturnos, it provides another (and I'd agree with those who say better) break from the Greek style.
- Volturno: brick-oven which gets a lot of love
- Antonio's: Brand recognition due to the number of toppings. Decent for a quick bite but the Worcester location is over-hyped.
- Ciao Bella: still Greek-style but slightly better than the 90% mentioned above.
- Newton Square Pizza: A thinner crust option that might fit the bill if you like Frankies but want something thicker than tissue paper underneath
- Blue Jeans Pizza: Thinner crust like Frankies/Newton Sq/Papa Ginos but some weird cheese blend that seems to turn translucent. Decent taste, but personally feel like it's overhyped.
- Olo: I can't really speak for it as I haven't been since the changeover from Dacosta's but they seem to be well received.

Not blaming the owners for the overdoses, but you can't go unscathed for having non-employees walking around employee-only areas and beyond.

I'd definitely put some responsibility on the building owners. The basement in the Michaels building connects to a number of other areas.
If they did go through Michael's to get to the basement, then there's definitely a responsibility of the establishment. You can't have random people walking into the basement if it's employees only. I haven't been in that basement in 20-odd years but when I was it was the dishwasher and the keg cooler but I assume it hasn't been built out to be a functional part of the establishment.

Does the street view look any different now than it does on Google maps (from Nov 2019)? That's what I remember Main St looking like and it's definitely not friendly for cars.
