raising the pay for teachers in maine should be a major political priority. not only would it result in a better education for our children, the future of this state, but it would attract young professionals to this state, something our economy needs.
Also, teachers deserve the money. they work so, so hard.

People can’t stop hitting it with their cars. they’ve added a flashing stop sign and jersey barriers and at one point tried to remove it with an excavator, but it keeps on totaling cars. I thought it was just a meme on this subreddit but i guess it’s become a real local icon. kind of endearing really.
does anyone have a compilation album of the cars it’s claimed?

military satellites are black and non-reflective. having so many satillites be so visible i think should require the same coating

Last year the NLRB said this is illegal. Unfortunately there’s not an effective enforcement mechanism for this, so it continues.

there’s something on the far left side that could maybe be a leg but could also be just about anything else

honestly don’t love that vast swaths of the state are privately help like this. the land owners could do some really gnarly stuff if they wanted with little we could do to stop them

vegetable is primarily a culinary term, not a biological one. mushrooms aren’t plants either, but they’re still in the vegetable section of the grocery store.
