I thought a thread titled Toxic book fans must be about Sanderson fans. That Wired article is on-point and they absolutely can't handle it, or any other critique of his work. It's what idolizing a person does to you. He's great, but he's not perfect and neither is his writing. I think because they idolize him they cannot fully evaluate his work, resulting in a fragile, slavish appreciation. Which is why they meet any criticism with hostility.

Rhythm of War. He wants to start the book with another DBZ fight, fine. I know it's futile, it's too early in the book to beat the super strong enemy. Keep reading. An airship appears. Fine. He spends a while explaining exactly how it works (boring, removed me from the narrative) and it's just an absolutely terrible idea. The series was already on thin ice, but I hated this idea, it soured me on the book as a whole, and it was the final nail in the coffin for the series.

As somebody who came to the remaster without playing the original, that game did NOT live up to the hype. Diablo 3 certainly wasn't perfect, but I could see where they deliberately made improvements that addressed deficiencies in Diablo 2. Also split-screen multiplayer.

Does a review of existing research really qualify as new research? This looks like the equivalent of a grade school science student's book report.

We already know the mechanisms behind this. People who eat meat are heavier on whole, which increases bone mass. Vegans tend to be thinner, which decreases bone mass.

Stronger bones won't protect you against heart disease.
