Reply to comment by needlesfox in Samsung's S23s don't have an answer to Apple's Emergency SOS via Satellite by needlesfox
I know, its right next to the shut down dialogue, its just a phone call, Apple's feature routes through through a third party satellite service. I'll wait until my opinion is more fully baked before commenting. I would bet money there will be a debate in the future when Apple doesn't want to pay for this service or the third party wants more money. Ie, Adobe and Pantone.

Because they regurgitate paid content (like WSJ) and apply their spin to it. If you can read between the lines and the trash headlines you may learn something.

Samsung does have an answer, they have the stupid emergency call button right below the 0 on the unlock screen, worst idea ever. I was almost going to buy an iPhone until I heard about this feature. I better get a 13 before they are discontinued.

That's not the vibe I get, all I can see is him rambling on about music and his guests are uncomfortable or unimpressed at best, or laughing at him at worst, and then he lashes out. I think he cares about music.

Did all your friends say "Ha! Look! I got a nude pic! That must mean he tried to get laid and got scammed! OP is a degenerate! Get him fired from everything!" If they are smart and care about you, they would say "at least you didn't lose your $500".

I got the same problems but I'm never touching meds, I know I would like them too much. I don't think there any drugs that can do a good thing without doing an equal and opposite bad thing.

Reply to COVID-19 vaccines, prior infection reduce transmission of Omicron: Vaccination and boosting, especially when recent, helped to limit the spread of COVID-19 in prisons during the first Omicron wave, according to researchers that examined transmission between people living in the same prison cell. by lolfuys
"Helped to limit"? I'm extremely impressed. My whole life everyone told me its impossible to make a cold vaccine because of how much it mutates. Flu vaccines work but not 100%, as there are several strains you could have, so only the elderly were compelled. Covid was a flu that mutated more than usual, possibly because it was bioengineered, so common sense would tell you the vaccines don't work very well. The media even had to admit that previous vaccines don't work on the newest mutation. That common sense still seems to hold up, and the hysteria fell flat on its face.

I have this freedom but still don't do it, I turn the ambient sounds down then pull out headphones if I need to hear something.

Apple needs to start putting plastic frames around the batteries. Actually getting to the battery and unplugging it isn't very hard to do, but adhesive that requires yanking it so hard it starts a fire shouldn't be necessary. Is the modular but proprietary SSD replacable yet on the Mac Studio?

I hope they don't reduce it to "oh, the propreitary software broke? Take it to an Apple store and we'll reset it for you." which is pretty much the precedure on Teslas and McFlurry machines.

I know. At least its a lot more durable than micro ever was. I just hate connectors with tongues.

I like Lightning better, the edges of the connector and port are rounded off and plastic, unlike USB-C which is cornered and metal contacting metal. Look at the bottom of someone's Samsung phone, there's little scratches around the connector. USB-C has a tongue in the middle, which can and does get damaged, and makes it much harder to clean. Yeah, USB-C can go screw, not my favorite connector. Too bad Apple was lazy and only implemented USB 3.0 on the very first iPad Pro, and never bothered to again. I hope Apple makes an EU specific iPhone and leaves us alone in the US.

That was my thought. Is the book any good? If the clever tweet is the marketing plan, then why not shill the book while were at it? This article is so threadbare.

Article sucks, not a single as theory to why this marketing isn't working, and an intention to continue a failing model.
Why do people who read books not showing up to bookstores? Should they livestream the reading on Twitch or YT instead?
