Yes. Rates of flu went WAY down in schools last year. (This is in schools where mask and hand sanitizers were the norm) Far fewer absences.

Now I will say that in Dec 2019/Jan 2020 there was a nasty flu going around and a school I work for implemented masks and hand washing/sanitizer regimens. This was before we ever heard of Covid. But for the first time EVER, I didn't get sick, and neither did most students. It was eye-opening. Covid hit just a few months later and we were already totally used to masks and hand washing and so on by then.

People in general but kids in particular now know how to wash hands properly and regularly. School absence rates are lower than expected even now.

It sucks the worst when it is a bitter cold damp Monday. Who wants to do that multiple times!

In my case it WAS a dream so I had to keep trying over and over. Kept waking up to realize I had only dreamt calling. It was brutal. I FINALLY called for real. But it took many tries.

I also used to dream I got out of bed, got dressed, etc. Then I would wake up and have to do it all over again for real. Made Mondays suck doubly.

I have done something like this too. I kept dreaming I called, then I would wake up and realize I hadn't called. So I would try again. Rinse and repeat.

Later I asked the lady who took the call if I did in fact call. She said I did. Once. (good thing I kept trying) She said I sounded delirious. I said I had been!

Also she wasn't the person I should have called. No idea why I called her! She did pass the message along though.

We still laugh about it.

They managed to shoot the whole season with her in bed, on a couch, or at least sitting. Seriously so many scenes in a bed! They took her new physical limitations and really managed to direct around them well. I mean, it was sad knowing why. But the whole production did a good job of it.
