Nothing really can be done other than emergency preparation. Get food/water/blankets/battery packs/lamps/etc. you can deal with it. Some people resort to buddy heaters indoors, but remember they need good ventilation and a monoxide detector.

Like everyone else said. It's wet snow and ice. Also mind you these are real people repairing the grid. Working tirelessly and they are risking dangerous conditions to go quickly in restoration or determining the issue.

Just come up with a plan and treat it like a weather emergency. It sucks but that's all you can do. When I lived in NH I list power for like 4 days once during an ice storm.

Really its just part if living here.

I've for mega corps as a manager and now a tiny company. Both have strengths and weaknesses. It's baffling to come from that environment and see the lack of tools or standardization for example. It feels like things are being run backwards.

That said there's less stress, less micro management, people are generally nicer, you can reach the person you need without 18 fucking middle manager and gate keepers, you don't waste half your day on lectures and seminars on the newest buzzword campaign.

Smaller companies generally are better but have their own set of pitfalls.

Globally Hannaford has better prices. But Shaws has it's place. They have a much nicer bakery usually and a better international section. The meat is usually better amd the produce is hit or miss depending on the Shaws. Shaws has better sales but they're sometimes obtuse and same goes for their rewards program. Where the hannaford one isn't annoying and the sales don't require you to pay super close attention.

You understand the coins would need to get sorted and verified and then brought to a bank while the deposit is prepared. There isn't a magic pipe from the machine to the bank.

The ez pass speeds up traffic, it's more accurate, it's safer and more convenient. Sincerely I have no idea what your hold up is or no sympathy to your arguments. It's not some big government ploy to steal your information. It's just a tool to travel faster and easier.

The USDA has a few that I used to write for a somewhat similar circumstance. Their micro grants for food security may help or they have one for fresh fruit and veggies.

Maine grant watch, grants.gov and chamber of commerce if you have access are all powerful tools.
