I was petrified, I was 11. Really believed it. Sarah greene and her husband. Had to get my dad to carry me up to bed. And I lay wide awake terrified until my sister who I shared a room with came home.

Same for the priesthood, it's 6 years minimum. Alot of it now is to give the person and the order time to really be sure it is the right decision. They don't want to rush anyone or ket anyone make rash decisions.

Depending on the order the nun is they can be in a teaching order, a missionary order etc, so there is training. Enclosed orders might be different but nuns that are out in the community, doing hospice care, working with those in need, certainly require training

I'd love to think if I were splitting up I'd like to think we'd be good friends, maybe not immediately but I'd hope I'd be mature enough. I think holding spite and anger, while I understand it, just eats away and takes way more effort and energy

Nice to hear a mature/healthy divorce story. I currently know of a few breakups happening now, and only one seems to be we grew apart, we tried counselling and we've jointly agreed to split, all the others involve fights, cheating, etc.
