I will take the compliment. But I am far from some international relations expert. Haha.

I am very concerned that these attacks were opening salvos of an Israel/Iran war, but I think Israel is really just pressing the advantages they currently have:
Significant global focus on Ukraine (less available focus on Israel)
Iran criticized for supplying drones to Russia
Iran experiencing continued unrest internally

There could be areas on tidally locked planets that are habitable near the terminator between day/night.

I'm pretty sure it is. I imagine all stars have their own goldilocks zone. I don't know enough about this stuff though.

Aren't all Trappist planets too close to their host star for much of anything? I think they all basically orbit closer than Mercury orbits our star.
But that does not take away from the sentiment. Would love to finally see definitive evidence of life.

My comment was not about measuring animal intelligence. It was only to say that humans are good at mental gymnastics to say "dog is good, should be treated good" and "pig is food, don't care about treatment".

Not sarcastically, but "we eat those" tends to prioritize which animals we save and which animals we are okay with treating poorly.

Wool is the first book in the Silo series. In fact, Wool was the name of the original short story of just Holston's experience.
