I used to know Sid Krofft but I didn’t know it for a while. I used to go to a gym in Hollywood in the 90s and there was this guy who was there a lot. Super nice guy, we always chatted about random stuff but never introduced ourselves. Then one day the front desk announced “Sid Krofft, line one” and I was like “oh wow”.
The architect of my childhood. Seemed like such a happy guy. Complete gentleman.

Black MIDI is interesting.
> Black MIDI is a music genre consisting of compositions that use MIDI files to create a song or a remix containing a large number of notes. People who make black MIDIs are known as blackers. However, there are no specific criteria of what is considered "black"; as a result, pinpointing the exact origin of black MIDI is impossible.

I buy and sell old guitars, so handedness is definitely something to know about. As far as I can tell, the number of left-handed guitars is a lot less than 10% of all guitars.
Over the years, the best I could come up with is that: (a) lots of lefties just learn right-handed when they’re starting. This would be because it’s sometimes not that easy to find a cheap guitar to buy in the first place, so you borrow or buy used, and right-handed ones are what is available.
And (b) many lefties don’t learn because of (again) the lack of availability of instruments. I mean, there aren’t lefty drums or keyboards.
What I can’t figure out is if some lefties are better able to do certain things right-handed than others. Like: are there degrees of handedness?

My band opened for FNM on The Real Thing tour 1989. Fun show. Mike Bordin, Billy Gould and Roddy are just about the nicest people you could meet. They loved our band, watched our whole set and mentioned us in Kerrang as one of their favorite opening acts. They also told a couple of A&R people about us so we were getting calls from record companies. Just really genuinely good people.

So since it’s incandescent, could you just get a UK one and change the plug and get a bulb with the right wattage? I don’t think there’s much to the things other than that.

Lava Lamps are frustrating for me. I like to have them in my recording studio because they’re incandescent so they make nice warm light and the visual is great. But in the US, it seems the best we can get are the Lava Lite brand which are about $30 but I’ve heard that in the UK they sell real nice ones that are pricier. Does anyone know anything about the UK ones? The US ones look okay but they seem pretty flimsy. I’d just like to see how they’d compare to a nicer one.
