Fallout elitist? I'm not a regular there, but I've been once or twice over the last year and that is not my experience. I definitely don't dress goth or alternative in anyway either and people were nice to me. Make sure you bring proof of vaccination, I think they will still be requiring that when the universe ends.

Some criminal, who broke into this dudes house and was going to do god knows what. What if the owner was a 100 lbs female instead? What happens then? Does she get assaulted physically? Sexually? The OP did the world a service.

Cold blood? From what I understand, this criminal is still a live and in custody where he belongs. Why defend pieces of shit? If OP went American History X on the guy sure, but he gave him one hook and a push down. Boo-hoo, go live in CHAZ you nut.

According to the OP:

  • Trespassing
  • Property damage
  • Breaking/entering

Would you be surprised if this person has priors (and or was intoxicated) that act as aggravating circumstances? Neither would I. OP was within his right. What jury would side with this piece of shit?

Anyways, the story reaffirms my belief that I should at the very least get some pepper spray if not a gun cuz I'm not very big and my dog isn't a fighter.

The Good: There are bars and restaurants in walking distance if you come over to Union Hill / Church Hill or walk down to Shacoe Bottom. The overall area has improved from where it was 20+ years ago.

The Bad: I live three blocks from there in Union Hill / Church Hill and more less avoid the area you are talking about. I was attacked while walking my dog over there by a crazy person with a baseball bat near the lovely Ocean Grocery (can someone burn that down please or at least require that shit hole to close at 11pm).

My 2 cents: On my specific street I have not heard of, experienced or seen any problems. Walking in Church Hill and Shacoe at night from bars has not been a problem for me. I think North Church Hill will continue to get better as it gets further gentrified, which (unpopular opinion) I am rooting HARD for. One can only hope.

I'm worried. I read that leaving a faucet dripping can help reduce the chance since it keeps the water moving through the pipes. I left my kitchen sink slow dripping and my upstairs bathroom slow dripping.

I also decided to do a load in the dishwasher even though it wasn't quite full yet. I am hoping this helps and will prob take a shower before bed for good measure.

If its Delegate Jeffrey M. Bourne, I'm voting against him (in a primary - I find it hard to believe I'd vote for a Republican over him). Didn't really like his response to an issue I emailed him on, though I do appreciate the response. State Senator Morrissey is pretty meh, but he responded better to my inquiry and voted accordingly so he has my vote.
