I love the vibe of this song. What are some others that are in this realm? Any band or artist is welcome.

God, I love that tune. Also, very good call for similarities.
Hell yeah. That's a great song.
The video is... something
Owner of a lonely heart by YES
Eye in the Sky - Alan Parsons Project... maybe?

Moving in Stereo by The Cars.
I love that song and it's not only because of Phobe Cates in Fast Times at Ridgemont High, but it helps.
It’s great without. It’s epic with.
They used the song in stranger things too.
Cant help but think of her tho
Only if it's paired with All Mixed Up.
I can't listen to it without
And Bye Bye Love before it imo
Fuck it, play the whole album
Had to go look - thought there was some crazy mashup with 311’s All Mixed Up. And I was into it.
I don’t know all their albums, except the biggest singles. My first exposure to The Cars was the goofyness of You Might Think on MTV. It did them a big disservice.
All mixed up is one of those hidden jems that not a lot of people know about. It's one of my favorite songs of theirs.
Ooh, another great Cars song. I said Hello Again.
Excellent choice. Just listened to it!
Similar verse but the riff is far and away cooler than abracadabra and for that reason sets it apart for me. Plus seeing fast times when it was new put a soft spot in me. Killer song
Jeopardy by the Greg Kihn Band

Yeah I mean, you could say, people rarely ever compose songs of that quality these days.

Good 80s songs!

Rock n Roll is King- ELO
‘’Keeps me wondering why” on the same Steve Miller album is the real banger
And here I’m preferring track 4 “Give It Up”! Lol
That’s the beauty of that album. It’s brilliant from start to finish. Peak booger-sugar era rock
I do too.
She’s a Beauty by The Tubes is close-ish
White Horse by Laid Back maybe is close-ish
The Joker by Steve Miller Band is in the neighbourhood….
White Horse def! Has that steady-state attitude and groove

Come Dancing by the Kinks Blue Collar by Bachman Turner Overdrive Fly at Night by Chiliwack
Lowdown by Boz Skaggs.
Coconut by Harry Nilsson
What a great thread! So many awesome suggestions!
It has been taken down since, but years ago there was a YouTube channel where a guy was just putting up videos of classic 12" vinyl extended-mixes. Abracadabra was on there, and Heart Of Glass by Blondie, and I Just Died In Your Arms by Cutting Crew, and I Didn't Mean To Turn You On by Robert Palmer, and like fifty or sixty more, and they all sounded really good on the vinyl, even through YouTube.
Styx - Too Much Time On My Hands
I Can’t Go For That - Hall and Oates
"Private Eyes" by Hall & Oates
This song has one of the worst lines in any song ever.
"Abra abracadabra. I want to reach out and grab ya."
LOL.

Most early 80s synth-rock/pop
G G allin - Strangle beat and crucify
Hush - Deep Purple
Eyes of a stranger - payolas
Mike Oldfield - Five Miles Out
Wired for Sound Cliff Richard
Tokyo Rose by Idle Eyes As far as sound and vibe goes. Very similar musically: darker mood, synth sounding, and a solid beat.
Also love ‘Serenade’ by SMB
.
Bette Davis Eyes extended mix: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GVIrsFe2Ks8
Dreadlock Holiday by 10cc
literally the worst song I have ever heard. That musical break in Abracadabra is just a toddler pressing buttons on a synth or some shit. You're kidding, right?
You Can Do Magic by America. Those tunes are spirit bros.
Your kiss by Hall and oats
Mystify- INXS
That was my favorite song at some point
Every little thing she does is magic....The Police!

There is no comparable song, it’s too good
This is in my top 5 most hated songs…..seriously wtf, abracadabra I want to reach out and grab ya……….. Steve Miller let me down.
Lazy songwriting? Try Nickleback.
