Reply to comment by Animanialmanac in If someone says “the most effective nonprofit (or community group) in Baltimore” - what groups do you think of? by caseyswatts
Yeah that’s not how it works. Blue Water Baltimore is a non-profit that does a great deal to advocate for improved water ecosystems. They are not the designated/official ombudsman charged with addressing all city sewage shortcomings. They do also receive occasional grants from state and federal sources (like this one for $92K to improve a specific runoff issue). Whoever said “Blue Water Baltimore gets paid to take care of this” was misinformed.
Blue Water Baltimore’s annual budget is under $3M, of which only around $500K came from state or federal sources; DPW’s water-related budget is around $400M, which includes over $100M just for storm water and another $100M+ for waste water management.
BWB has incidentally pushed forward/supported multiple lawsuits against various entities, including the city itself..

Sooo….maybe HG Wells was on to something in “The Time Machine” where the distant future was nothing but giant crab creatures.

Reply to Where to Sell Plants in Baltimore by Cultured_dude
Talk to one of the specialty boutique plant stores and see if they’ll work with you to find a buyer, and negotiate commission. Something like B. Willow maybe in Remington. I’m not suggesting them specifically, it’s just the only one that comes to mind that I know by name.
IMO, I don’t think you’re gonna get anything near the price that you are hoping for. I’m pretty sure half of the price of a plant like that involves shipping. I could be wrong, and hopefully so.

This is the answer. Hot take: persimmon bread is better than pumpkin bread. Fight me.

Obviously the most important thing to have in the 1950s was a cafeteria that just served food encased in jello molds. That’s what I’m going to assume this was ;-)

This is an excellent list, but if you are looking for row homes, Mount Vernon is mostly apartments and a few very large former mansions, not as many row homes. Wonderful place to live, just wanted to make sure you knew what the general format was.

Whole fresh sardines can be hard to find at local markets. Often H Mart will have them or Great Wall (also on 40, if it’s still there at all).
