Hey there Andrew, welcome to Worcester and congrats on coming out!

This is not the first time I've plugged this, so I hope people won't be too annoyed at me: if you're into crafts at all, at Technocopia (makerspace in downtown Worcester), we have an open craft night every Thursday night starting at 7, and there are a few awesome trans/queer folks who are a core part of our regular group. Maybe not what you're looking for, but it's a good place to meet people, so I figured I'd throw it out there. And the second Thursday of the month, we always have a pre-planned craft available in case you don't know what to work on!

On a similar note, I know Creative Hub Worcester also recently started hosting a Queer Craft Night on the first Thursday of the month downtown.

Here's a link for that: https://m.facebook.com/events/751932783010937/?ref_source=newsfeed&ref_mechanism=feed_attachment&action_context=%257B%2522action_history%2522%253A%2522null%2522%257D

It's definitely a form of [edit: resembles superfically] federalism, but not really equivalent to the US. For instance, England is a country in the UK, but it doesn't have a dedicated parliament or first minister. It's run directly out of the UK Parliament. Imagine the effect if the federal Congress and Presidency were merged with the state government of Texas as the supreme authority over the US but also Texas specifically.

You could still say they're roughly equivalent, but roughly is doing a lot of heavy lifting there.

I'll throw out Technocopia. We're a makerspace, so a member-supported community workshop. Good community of creative folks, woodworkers, hobbyists, a few fine artists, etc. If you're interested, come by on a Thursday night during Open Hack when anyone's welcome to come check out the space, work on a project, and hang out.

I kinda suspect that in addition, medium rare probably keeps the center well in the danger zone for bacterial growth, and without ever getting it high enough to kill bacteria, they're worried about ground beef sitting around in that temperature zone on a shelf and then in a car ride or even longer before being consumed.
