John is one of the most genuine, informed, reasonable, and considerate people I know. I trust him completely. Politicians like that are rare. I have no idea if he can win this race, but I hope people read up on his background and policies and pay attention to him.

Reply to Restaurant Perspective of RI Food Fights by RIffstaurant
Agreed. Food Fights is not some charitable organization founded to support local restaurants and communities. It's a for-profit scheme to make money off of restaurants. He wants a slice of your profits, and he provides no evidence of ROI. Don't encourage this kind of predatory startup idea.

Reply to Unresponsive management in loft buildings by Ahap169
I've never in my life interacted with anyone so incompetent and useless as the property manager at my loft building (old mill turned into lofts). She never answers the phone or responds to emails or gets anything done. So I started touring several of the other loft buildings in hopes of moving. I learned that they're pretty much all like that. Some of them happily talk to prospective tenants, but they don't care about current tenants, so don't be fooled.
If you want to live in one of these nice loft buildings, it's just something you'll have to put up with. It's infuriating, but I personally put up with it because of the low utilities and modern interior.

Yep, that place is built like a hotel. Some apartments even have shared balconies so no privacy at all. You couldn't pay me to live there.

Agreed, those prices are surprisingly low for 2023. Which is ridiculous. It terrifies and infuriates me how high rent has gotten the last few years.

That was a later addition to the article so calm down. I'm just now learning that the crash was fatal which is a sad update. Hope everyone else made it through the wind gusts and slick roads safely this morning.

Now 95N from 37 to 10 is at a standstill, and 295 through "the canyons" is extra slow from rerouting. So just call in sick at this point, I guess? Good luck, folks. Happy Friday.

Also 10N is backed up already this morning, near standstill, due to rerouting traffic from 95. This is starting to back up the 6/10 split, so best to avoid that area entirely if possible.
