It's barely background radiation level. The lawsuits should be against our education system

That might be the case now, but as more property is bought out and rented and home ownership declines, the pendulum will swing the other way electorally. If we don't pass sensible legislation now we will have radicalized legislation later. For example see California's state wide zoning changes last year

This right here is the problem. It's not racism, it's money. It's always money. We'll never solve this issue until we stop treating real estate as an investment. Other countries have been successful to combat this

Try again. Expect the city to ban cheap unsafe batteries instead. Ebikes with UL batteries don't catch fire. Period

That's such a disingenuous and hostile description of the sub. Vast majority there agree with banning illegal batteries. I haven't seen ONE upvoted post about hiding NON UL certified batteries. Blanket banning ebikes with great batteries are no different than banning your laptop with a great battery.

Ridership is significantly lower during President's Day week compared to other weekdays. This means we can fit over an entire month of weekend work into a single ten-day period.
I'm fine with that.

You're gonna love working with HOAs then. It's reasonable to require contractors carrying insurance in case they fuck shit up. I've lived in a few coops and the rules are reasonable unless you're an asshole.

Agree but why make up arbitrary metrics? We have class 1,2, and 3. What you're describing is basically a class 1 ebike, which I agree is the most safe. Class 2 is a very grey area. Class 3 should definitely be banned from the lanes

A scooter that is much heavier than a bike is basically a moped at that point. I've seen bikes go up to 50 pounds and any scooter past that isn't really a scooter
