Yeah some on the side like tasty moment and the hot pot spot. Also some Chinese places on 27 down the road. I’d say it’s Asia town. Maybe not Chinatown or Ktown. But I guess you could say Edison is basically Asia town with all the Indian spots too.

Yep, if there were signs the day before, it would’ve absolutely been ok. That’s happened before. These people actually took the construction road closure sign that is used sometimes cause this road gets worked on often and closed it off themselves. But they didn’t care about the people already parked on the street or in the driveways

Yeah parked, locked, empty cars. Blocked the whole block. No one could leave. They were there for over an hour. Called the police but everyone left by the time they showed up.

My gf tried to leave when everyone else was finally moving their cars. And one woman thought she was gonna hit her car (she was just trying pull into the line to get out cause she was already late to work waiting for them) then a bunch of the attendees came out of their cars and started yelling at us saying we’re disrespectful and that everyone could just wait for them to leave. They’ve been parked there for an hour and a half and people couldn’t leave their driveways or from the side street.

I live in downtown JC. It has the perks of living in the city without being too expensive and too busy like NYC. But it's still super convenient to get to. I don't regret living in JC over NYC at all. You get the best of both worlds. And if you choose to get a car, you also can conveniently visit the rest of NJ which is also pretty cool too. I highly recommend JC. Also agree that Hoboken is the post-college-frat type of vibe. If you're really into bar hopping, then I guess Hoboken can be good. But then again, you can also catch the path or get an $10 uber to Hoboken to do the things there as well.

I lived in both Somerville and New Brunswick, so I'm very familiar with the area! Raritan isn't that nice tbh. The area surrounding it is all very suburban. But Somerville down town, has some good bar spots and nice restaurants. Some things to do, but not a whole lot compared to SF. There are a lot of new apartments that are nice, and many more comping up on Main Street Somerville though. New Brunswick has some great food spots, but it's very much a college town. If you're wandering the downtown area, its mostly college students. Certain areas can be nice but if you live there, you'd hit the worse traffic during rush hour going to and from work on rt 287. However, both somerville and New Brunswick has very easy ways to access NYC which ofc has everything you could want to do. I would recommend living in Somerville downtown if you'd like a shorter commute to work. Morristown is also a great spot to live and the commute won't be two bad. If you have other questions, feel free to ask here or message me!
