You can set this map to 6ft to see the amount of land we'd lose. Lots of coastal cities would be devastated and that's not even including other glaciers melting. It's probably not counting thermal expansion of the water in the oceans which happens when the oceans warm up.

Being incorrect is spreading misinformation. It's not spreading disinformation or lying however because those require the intent to deceive. If I say that Michael Jordan in the NBA's all-time leading scorer, because that's what I truly believe, I'd be spreading misinformation because that's not true, but since I actually believe it it's not disinformation or lying.

There are other chain pizza restaurants that are just as cheap and way better. There are other fast food restaurants if you just want convenience. McDonald's certainly isn't a gourmet burger, but it's unfair to compare them to Domino's. McDonald's food is at least edible. It's a 5 star restaurant compared to Domino's food.

A friend and I ordered Domino's delivery last year because we hadn't had it in 10+ years for each of us. It so literally so disgusting that we both struggled to even eat it. We didn't even eat the crust on our first piece and then we threw the rest in the trash.

I'd eat any other pizza over it. I'd rather have any other chain. I'd rather eat the cheapest frozen pizza you can find. I'd rather eat day old reheated in the microwave elementary school pizza.

I just don't get it because to me there are so many better pizzas out there at different price points. For instance I wouldn't say Little Caesars is good pizza exactly, but it's cheap and decent enough if you aren't spending a lot of money. All the other cheaper chains are better than Domino's. Then there are the slightly more expensive chains which are what you pay for and therefore are slightly better.

My city isn't very big, but we actually have multiple different local pizza shops which are really good and taste better than any chain. They are all more expensive than Domino's or Little Caesars though. Some are about the same price as the higher end chains while others are significantly more expensive, but also absolutely delicious.

There are simply so many better options that I can't understand when anyone chooses Domino's. Maybe the one around me is just ran terribly and they are using substandard products and techniques, but if what I had last time is their normal pizza it's absolutely disgusting. I could probably be convinced to try it again if it was free, but if it tasted the same I wouldn't even finish the slice.

That might be the case because like I said, I didn't try it until last year which was well after the "we sucked so we changed our recipe" ads first aired. It might have been better for awhile, but it was awful and I have much better options between local places or other chains. Maybe it's just my local Domino's, but the dough, sauce, and cheese were all absolutely terrible. Maybe it's just nostalgia and my changing tastes, but I really liked a pepperoni pizza from Domino's growing up in the '80s.

Domino's was good in the '80s and got progressively worse over time. They then had those ads saying that they knew their pizza wasn't good so they were changing their recipe. That was awhile ago, but I still hadn't had their pizza in a long time, so last year a friend and I ordered some. It was literally the worst pizza I've had in my entire life. We each ate a piece and then threw the rest in the trash. There's the saying "pizza is like sex because even when it's bad, it's still pretty good." Domino's is like the "two girls, one cup" of pizza in that the pizza tastes similar to the video and I want no part of it. I'm not being hyperbolic when I say that I wouldn't eat it even if I was hungry and it was free.

Edit: I've obviously upset some people who like disgusting pizza. For people who are willing to spend actual money on Domino's, why? Do you not have other options and if so, why not make your own pizza that is actually edible? Have you tasted other pizza so you know what pizza should taste like? I just can't imagine wanting to spend even someone else's money on it.

I've never once seen a Domino's commercial with The Noid in it in the past few years. Either way their pizza is still absolutely disgusting. I wouldn't feed it to a dog because I'd consider that to be animal abuse.

The Noid returned to television in April 2021. The character first appeared in a series of brief video ads on social media sites, in which the Noid's face could be seen in a disruptive flash of video glitches over a shot of a meal included in a coupon promotion. They should go back to their '80s recipe and bring back The Noid. Their new pizzas are straight up nasty. I've literally never had worse pizza in my life. I wouldn't eat a piece even if it was free.

Fox "News" is so embarrassing. I can't believe anyone takes them seriously and yet a depressingly large number of people have it on TV almost 24/7.

They also preach about how the free market should decide things without government influence, but whenever a company decides to do something because of the free market that they don't like they complain about it. They want companies to have unlimited "free speech" for things they agree with, but don't think companies who disagree with them deserve the same. In the case of social media companies Republicans actually want the government to step in and force these companies to allow theirs bigotry and lies. They want to do that all while making social media companies responsible for what their users post.

At 11-12 I was just starting to really get into music, so I'm not sure I had a favorite album at the time. I turned 12 in 1991, so if I had to pick a favorite from that time it probably was either Nirvana's Nevermind or Pearl Jam's Ten. I really wasn't a fan of '80s hair bands, so those bands were a breath of fresh air. I suppose Metallica's "The Black Album" was up there as well. It's crazy that all 3 albums were released within like a month and a half period.

I don't understand the mentality some people have where they think it's okay to be the aggressor and then kill a person when it gets out of hand and they try to defend themselves. That honestly sounds like the entire point of what they are doing. For a lawfirm to be willing to sue them they have to be willing to sacrifice all their employees never to be able to go to any events there. They have to be willing to upset all of their employees. I'm sure there are lawfirms that wouldn't see taking a case against them being worth the trouble. Hell, some of them might have season tickets and don't want to lose those.

Yup, the guy was literally crying and begging for his life, but the subhuman piece of shit cop decided he was going to murder him anyway. This wasn't a case of a coward cop being terrified of an unharmed person, this was a cop who specifically wanted to murder a person for no reason. It's insane and shameful that he's not spending the rest of his life in prison.

I'd love for it to be sooner, but I think we are looking at at least 15-20 more years. I think the timeline Musk has suggested is way too optimistic. There are a lot of hurdles to get over both technologically and with government regulations. I doubt the US government would allow people to go there without either a way to get them back or guarantees that they could keep a colony alive indefinitely. They'd need to send a whole bunch of equipment there ahead of the astronauts. Even picking and training the astronauts is way more difficult than with other missions because of the extreme long-term isolation.

You do realize that The Lord of the Rings books are responsible for many of fantasy tropes we see today, right? This comment reminds me of how some people nowadays say that Seinfeld isn't unique and is just like so many other shows even though they were unique at the time.

Also, even if you think the plot is generic because so many other people copied them, it's still a masterclass in film making. The use of different types of special effects techniques is amazing. Many of the effects are practical and not CGI. The forced perspective is very well done and looks real. They were also able to take beloved books and make movies that the fans love. Fans tend to rip apart any adaptations of the source material they love unless it's perfect, but The Lord of the Rings was loved by fans of the books.

I'm 43 and they are some of my favorite movies of all-time. A lot of people I know who are around my age like them as well. I rented The Fellowship of the Ring when it came out and although I almost never watched a movie twice when I rented it, I watched it twice with the normal audio plus a couple of additional times with commentary. I had never seen a movie quite like it. I had never read the books either, so I wasn't a fan of the source material. I wouldn't try to speak for entire generations in the future.

Amazon could could do it, but they must not think it's worth the investment.
