Better, but I think flags + country name would be best. I'm a bit sketchy on my South American flags so I couldn't actually work out who played who.

Oh man, messed up on the logos;
- England: thatβs The FA logo, not the football team. It should say βEnglandβ at the top and have a star
- France: Should have 2 stars on top
twintig5 OP t1_izpn08h wrote
These are the FA logos, indeed. I believe it is rarely that national team has it's own logo, besides FA logo. Stars are like an extra, sometimes are there sometimes are not.
Edit: I was using logo pack for FAs. Now as you pointed this out, I went on wiki to check. Among 16 teams in the bracket, exactly 2 of them have different logos compared to the FA logos: England and France. I overlooked this, as this is definitely not a standard. I follow football for a long time, and I was convinced FA logos are "the logos".
I guess I could correct it for the next version, but I don't see it like a big deal.
Anyway, thanks for the heads up.

Yeah it's kind of dumb but you're missing a huge part, those are the 1924 and 1928 wins, the first WC was played in 1930 (bc they weren't going to include football as a sport in LA 1932).
Those 2 Olympic golds were won by the Uruguayan senior team vs other World class teams, as opposed to what we have now were the Olympics are mostly a U-23 tournament

Since you apparently donβt know what an estimate is, here are general explanations for that estimate
Itβs extremely easy to find sources other than the guardian for an insight into this but you sound more interested in swatting people down than correcting or getting good info.
In total ~15,000 non nationals died overall as a general stat, but itβs hard to argue that the working age immigrants mostly died of heart attacks.
Qatarβs official response, if you want to go with that, was 37, then 400-500, then 37. Now you have the full range of estimates, maybe try to provide one of your own next time.

I wonder how that relates to illusions, if you didn't just bring that up to say it's intuitive either way. The reason I brought up programming is that in the process of codifying problems, we have to break them down in our heads, and there they can often look like graphs - which is what this is. So I thought it could be that other people aren't as used to graphs as I am.

I'm not a fan of football, but using team logos instead of country names makes this pretty hard to follow for a casual viewer.
Also repeating colors for different teams is confusing and doesn't really help with team recognition.
It also doesn't show the match scores which sports brackets usually do.
And it doesn't provide any information about the teams rank coming into the tournament, which again brackets usually do.
This format would look cool printed on a tee-shirt at the end of the tournament. But personally I don't see it as a good reference during the competition.
