But we will still have to look at the thousands of ugly angry eagle signs for weeks until the state goes around and picks them up for him on the taxpayers dime. What a loser.

Malloy was never going to win. His shtick was just being a political cudgel which no one really gives a shit about here. Had people never spammed dumb ass memes of him, he'd have died anonymously in this election. Just an angry bird on a poster and nothing more.

But no, folks had to fall for the hate porn.

I wonder what percentage would be considered indicative to national results. I doubt Vermont would be much different then 1016, but it was 61% to Patrick 6 years ago.

Had to stand next to that twat at one of the polls for an hour or so. His wife picked him up and had Maryland plates on the car.

Good. He can go back to irrelevancy and this sub can stop posting about his signs.

Wait so I don’t understand. What’s the deal with Malloy? Is he an ass or… idk

twowheels t1_ivmwxjr wrote

And for some insane reason, he's currently at 29.26% -- so, that means that if these people were evenly distributed around the state (which we know they're not, but go with it...) and you voted for Welch, then one of your neighbors probably voted for him.

Malloy was as resoundingly defeated as all the predictions figured.

Lol the crime in red states is insane. Despite what Fox news wants you to think about blue cities it's actually red ones where crime is surging. In general crime is down everywhere.

People like Gerald Malloy deserve and shall continue to get as much mocking, derision, and abject contempt as possible. Why let a shitheel like him fade away when it's much more fun to dance on his grave? Lighten up.

What is it called in the military when an applicant for service is rejected because they failed the psych screening?

I feel like that's the word for someone who uses militaristic language for a democratic political campaign.

EDIT:

disqualified from serving

Because they exist to absorb that mocking and derision like rocket fuel. They want to be martyrs for their cause. The more they piss you off, the more others wanting to see you pissed off pay attention to them.

Anonymity is how you kill their momentum. Attention is how you expand it. Learn from the Trump years.

Oh, I already know which of my neighbors did. I remember where the Trump flags were (or see where they still are). I looked up our country results and there are 514 (to 2491 for Welch) in Addison who voted for him. Crazy isn’t totally geographically specific.

Yeah, 27.5% of my district voted for him -- the crazy is here too. There are two rather aggressive Trump houses that I have to pass whenever I leave my neighborhood, one of which has the full on profanity and middle finger symbols -- I don't understand these people -- when did it become OK to fly flags with profanity?

If pointing out that your central thesis was demonstrably and irrefutably rejected both here and in the country as a whole makes me belligerent and immature then so be it. Saying "just don't look" is spineless pissing in the wind. Sunshine and mockery remain the best disinfectant.

R50cent t1_ivoz81t wrote

I'll admit I'm immature (despite this being my first comment in this discussion) if you can explain how the mockery that was invariably a part of Malloy's defeat in fact actually empowered him... despite his loss. That's a very interesting argument to present, and I'd really like to see how that works past just saying that's what the case is. It's hard to equate it to Trump considering this isn't a nationwide thing, it was a Vermont thing, it's not exactly equivalent (some might call it a false equivalence...). But I'll let you explain, since I clearly don't get it.

I deployed a Malloy earlier… then flushed it like a civilized human being. My kid on the other hand sometimes forgets to flush. Pretty nasty.
