This is definitely a feel good story for me. The people who were there just standing on the grounds waving flags and yelling all hail Trump, that's an acceptable form of protest. For everyone of the jackasses that got caught up in the mob mentality and entered the building, especially the ones who committed assault, I hope they are in a constant state of paranoia and stress. I hope they have nightmares about the FBI knocking on their front door. I hope every time they see a person wearing a suit and sunglasses driving a Tahoe, they shit their pants. Fucking moronic deplorable people.

Seeing as a lot of these Freedom Convoy participants were inspired by Trump and his moronic supporters in the US, I find it ironic that they are protesting because of how they feel. What was that slogan again that conservatives are so fond of? Oh yeah, it was, "F*ck your feelings." They can dish it out abundantly but they sure can't take it at all lol.

I was reading something yesterday saying that there are instances where automobile manufacturers are having to leave the airbags and anti-lock brake systems out of freshly produced vehicles due to trade sanctions because they can't get the necessary materials. Death by a thousand cuts it seems to be at the moment.

My dad passive aggressively says shit like this all the time. I had a text exchange with him on Christmas day and he casually brings up that where my sister in-law lives just had record breaking cold and of course he throws in the "but Global warming right?!? LMAO" I really tried not to bite, but I couldn't help it. Mentioning that climate change is not just about warming in addition to the fact that it's a slow inexorable process doesn't phase him. "They've been talking about rising ocean levels for 40 years but I haven't seen any difference. Funny how they never talk about the scientific theories that contradict global warming." He usually then proceeds to blame Democratic environmental policies and calls it a sham. I just kind of try and avoid any political discussions because it is impossible to make any headway.

I honestly don't get why some people are genuinely butt-hurt about the principle of student loan forgiveness. Would the same people believe so strongly in paying back their own debts if given a chance to get out from under it? I've always believed that it's better to wish well for people when a blessing comes their way, not sit there and cry about how it didn't happen to me lol
