Perhaps not everyone views a downtown luxury high rise as aspirational.

Yeah I worked on a new affordable development recently and even that didn't get an abatement.

We live in a capitalist country and our housing is reflective of that. Without signifficant systemic change you can really only change things along the margins.
I'm pro development but if NYC is still under building any new units will quickly get absorbed no matter how much you build.

in my experience this leads to half of the work stations not functioning; missing mouse, headset, or keyboard, or some other problem.

property taxes are passed on to a commercial tenant in the lease, so normally an owner only pays them during a vacancy.

our meddling in Venezuela is all out in the open; from the sanctions, to the plot to install Juan Guiado, to the laughable 2020 coup attempt. I'm sure there is even more nefariousness that we are unaware of, but there is plenty that is well documented.

I usually have have one, but I've still accumulated a bunch of unwanted reusable bags for the few times that I didn't.
I wish stores were setup so you could leave your excess reusable bags for other people to use, thus reducing the demand to manufacture more reusable bags. Like a leave a penny take a penny thing, except with reusable bags.
