The recall and topic of the post have nothing to do with the battery, though. It’s just that OP immediately saw “Bolt” and “fire risk” and likely immediately thought it was a battery issue.

And EVs have less fires per vehicles sold than both pure ICE and HEVs. The fires are typically related to damage (either collision or occasional corrosive water damage with Tesla) or fast charging, neither of which is really a concern in a driveway or garage.

So those points aside, what valid reasons are there to not want an EV within 100 feet of your house that don’t already exist with hybrids or pure ICE vehicles?

A 19 year old just died hiking in the White Mountains two weeks ago. Even with the warmer weather, I really wouldn’t recommend it this time of year.

> The White Mountains are infamous for deceptive conditions that have lured scores of hikers to their death in the past century. Although they are relatively short by the standards of many mountain ranges, their location at the confluence of continental weather patterns means that conditions can change quickly, taking hikers from pleasant conditions in a parking lot to near-Arctic gales after just a few hours of uphill work.

FYI for OP, any coffee bean can be used for espresso. Some coffee roasters will make an “espresso” blend, but you don’t need an espresso blend of coffee to make espresso. I typically use a medium dark roast. A less oily bean usually gives me a better pull, but it’s not necessarily required. A fresh roast also usually pulls better than one sitting on the shelf for months.

I love Market Basket, but I hate shopping in Market Basket. The crowds are always insane at my local MB, and they’re always restocking in the already too narrow aisles. It’s like mad max of grocery shopping. I once had a lady crash through my cart and multiple carts as she wanted to go through the lines backed up for all ~20 open checkout aisles. The place is always a madhouse, no matter the day and time I go.

If Instacart ever supported MB (or if MB had their own delivery option a la Walmart), it would probably be the only place that I would shop. Right now, I mostly shop Aldi via Instacart, then pick up the few things they don’t have at stop and shop.

https://www.swellinfo.com/surf-forecast/newport-rhode-island. Pretty much any spot in RI (S swell, N winds late Sat, early Sun). The spot depends on how good you are. Goosewing (south shore beach), Point Judith in Narragansett, Ruggles (off of the Breakers in Newport) are reef/point breaks that will be firing if you can hang there. Ruggles is mostly advanced surfers and locals. If beach breaks are more your thing, try second beach in Middletown. First (Easton’s) and second are close together, so you can drive by and check both if you’re in the Newport area.

I used to do a lot of surfing in RI and MA.

Well, Kevin McCarthy has already said that republicans plan to stop funding military aid to Ukraine if they win back the house. Others that take a considerably more favorable Russian stance include MTG, Matt Rosendale, JD Vance, a bunch of Trump administration officials, and of course Trump himself. Liz Cheney has referred to this faction as the “Putin wing” of the Republican Party.

Find where they’re coming in if you can. They can squeeze through very small openings, but usually you’ll see some scratches by a small opening. Get a tube of caulking and fill any of these holes. Then get some snap traps, as others have said. I like these ones: https://www.amazon.com/Indoor-Effective-Sanitary-Catcher-Family/dp/B083LDKS6Z/ . They’re reusable. Don’t bait them, just place them along walls where the mice may be hiding/running (basically in areas that you see mouse droppings). Mice will typically run along walls, not through open rooms, and they’ll walk right into the traps. When you catch one, you open the trap to throw the mouse in the trash, reset it, and repeat. Eventually, you’ll catch them all and won’t have any more mice. I do the same in my shed, but that’s an ongoing issue since it can’t be blocked off completely.

Also, a pest control company might help by helping you place traps and preventing them from getting inside. Good luck. It took me about a year to get rid of all the mice in my crawl space/basement.
