And this from a guy who expects applause for cancelling an already-popular beta program and re-starting it after he caught hell for it.

Can confirm the value of a good furrier for leather garment care. Had a Bonnie Cashin/Coach leather coat from the 1960s re-lined, re-shaped and reconditioned by one in New York with great results. I’ve kept it supple since with Saphir products.

Gorgeous!
Please look into Saphir’s line of exceptional leather cleaners and conditioners to give this jacket the love it deserves!
A good cobbler can help you replace the zipper, which should be a robust YKK sort.

Stop N Frisk was Giuliani’s baby—all part of “Broken Windows” policing he advocated.
Bloomberg kept status quo at first, knowing you can’t rescind what was two terms of de facto policy. Then he was forced to deal with it as the lawsuits over overzealous policing began to pile up.
But nice try.

I never sais I’m operating on an assumption that all Fed depts are inadequate; this is about both complementary and differing skill sets and priorities.
We need NYPD to have marine capabilities for myriad practical reasons. Bridge jumpers, accidental drownings, local crime investigations where perps involved the waterways? Local wins, and likely has a lower cost-per-investigation price than a Fed agency, who lack the relationships with other municipal resources to solve crimes, find a missing person, etc.
Ships registered to other countries in these waters? Large-scale rescues at sea? Fed agencies should handle with cooperation of NYPD Marine units.

We’re completely bound by water. Leaving surveillance and investigation of same to Federal entities is kind of daft.

I live in his district, too—and acriss the street from him. News of the break in spread quick and neighbors were on the sidewalk with cops.
These heinous cosplay protesters aren’t from the nabe—nor do they make any cogent points. They disrupted services at a NL NYPL branch that focuses on the sight-challenged of all ages.
Erik’s good people. Got to know him while he served Corey. And considering Corey’s breakdown and mayoral campaign left good people like Erik holding the bag for the district, he’s doing well. He’s out, he answers my calls and notes. As constituents, the wins are 2-way; we need dialogue with our CMs, CBs and Assembly members to address these ills—we have to demand action. The NYPD is largely absent.

The Dysons indicated for pet hair deliver. My husband had the old upright for years with his Huskie. We only got rid of it because I had my Miele coming into the marriage, and he no longer had the Huskie. We bought the Dyson V to keep my mother’s house tidy from all her grandpuppies, and it continues to deliver 2 years hence.
