Healthcare industry kills like 25k a year on the low side of estimates… a guy losing a leg is nothing to them and they don’t care
Medical review board is all doctors, so expect them to circle the wagons to protect a fellow doctors license.

Because the last time they tried to stop them it ended in multiple riots.
And in that case one of these losers drove into a brick wall on his own, cops never even touched him. Imagine if PPD were to actually put their hands on one of them!

UPenn security is probably closer to double TUs now.
Back in 2010 they were about the same size but the current admin has been pretty adept at destroying various departments within the school and the PD/security is no exception.
TUPD recently said it’s at about 65 for staffing instead of the 115 or whatever that they had 10 years ago

They threatened to move to Ambler a few years back, but the city doubled down on helping them. Now they’ve all but pulled back and turned their backs on the school. Maybe it’s time to start working on that move.

And not a chance either of those schools allow it to return. Too much rides on it, just as Temple is finding out now.
Hopefully we don’t lose our memories of the mid-10s and how the neighborhood was before too long.

Recreating UC in NP.
Otherwise TU might have to get creative.

Your democratic legislators undid the Quinn bill which gave huge incentives to get college degrees (which lead to lower uses of force among many other positives)

So it’s not ACAB but ASAB.
But then again, who needs to read the article.

Well keep in mind that police are the literal enemy in the city, making it easy for shitheads from the county to come in and cause trouble, because it’s pretty well known there won’t be consequences. Suburban counties actually put people in jail making it less attractive to losers like this kid to do shit there instead of making the short drive to the city.
Then factor in how short handed PPD is since it’s been made abundantly clear to them (see my first article) that they aren’t wanted and are unliked, and it becomes a self fulfilling problem and is an inevitable downward spiral that will only cost the city and it’s residents in the long run.

As a former student… we were the problem, always. That was drilled into us from day 1 by the school and the community and the only reason the community was shitty because of us.
Granted none of that was true, but some powerful people were convinced it was so we bore the brunt of it.
