Yeah and speeding is a summary offense that can result in manslaughter if you cause a fatal accident.

This is the post I was responding to >It's ok to call criminal negligence for the endangerment of a child what it is.
Leaving a child in a car doesn't get you charged with criminal negligence. You're just reeing about semantics because you want to win an internet fight.

You realize criminal negligence and child endangerment are specific crimes right? They have definitions. Leaving a child in a car is a summary offense. So is jay walking and littering.

This is like me saying "shoplifting isn't armed robbery" and you're going "acshually shoplifting is illegal"

>isn't criminal negligence or child endangerment
Edit the full statute:
>§ 3701.1. Leaving an unattended child in a motor vehicle.
>(a) General rule.--A person driving or in charge of a motor vehicle may not permit a child under six years of age to remain unattended in the vehicle when the motor vehicle is out of the person's sight and under circumstances which endanger the health, safety or welfare of the child.
>(a.1) Applicability.--This section shall apply to the highways and trafficways of this Commonwealth and, for the purposes of this section only, the term "trafficways" shall include, but not be limited to, parking lots.
>(b) Penalty.--A person who violates this section commits a summary offense. It is a separate offense for each child left unattended.
So if you can see the car from inside the store it's not even illegal.

I won't. Why would I do that? What gave you the impression that I would? When has anyone done that? You know this is a news article, right?

Leaving a child in a running car for a minute isn't criminal negligence or child endangerment no matter how much you seemingly want it to be.

That's a lot less reliable in real life than it is on TV. They caught 3 of the 4 shooters, one of them probably had the guns.
