You will have to work every day in the mines of Mars. Toiling day and night, never sleeping, subsisting on Nutrapaste rations and recycled urine water. If you ever stop working the nanobots in your bloodstream, controlled by the mining corporation, will accelerate your aging until you comply.

I'm convinced that the only reason Elon wants every one to slow down is so he can play catch up. I think he hates the fact that its Sam Altmans name attached to AI and not his.

Reply to Chat-GPT 4 is here, one theory of the Singularity is things will accelerate exponentially, are there any signs of this yet and what should we be watching? by Arowx
I asked Google Bard. It says:

Exponential growth of AI looks like a hockey stick, with the line going up at an increasingly steep angle. This is because the amount of computer processing power behind complex AI is doubling about every 3.4 months. This is much faster than Moore's Law, which states that the number of transistors you can fit on a microchip doubles roughly every two years.
This exponential growth of AI is having a profound impact on our lives. AI is being used to solve problems that were nearly unthinkable just five years ago, such as driving cars, diagnosing diseases, and writing creative content. AI is also being used to create new products and services that we didn't even know we needed.
In the future, we can expect to see even more amazing things from AI. AI will become even more powerful and capable, and it will be used to solve even more problems. We may also see AI become more integrated into our lives, as we come to rely on it for more and more tasks.
However, there are also some risks associated with the exponential growth of AI. For example, AI could be used to create weapons that are more powerful than anything we've ever seen before. AI could also be used to manipulate people or to create systems that are biased against certain groups of people.
It's important to be aware of these risks, but it's also important to remember that AI is a tool, and like any tool, it can be used for good or for evil. It's up to us to decide how we want to use AI.

I bet Microsoft. So far they seem to be willing to actually make their developments public and taking risks.

I imagine that AI becomes a part of daily life similar to the internet and maybe even as important to the future modern world as electricity. Try to imagine life without electricity.
Politics, economics, culture, art, music, everything will all be affected by AI in some way. There will be those who will hate the changes but most people will not want to go back to a life before AI once their lives are impacted by it.
Old institutions will struggle to adapt. People will try to protect their jobs. Some people might use AI maliciously, governments will try to regulate and that might delay the singularity. Who knows really?

Well we already see today that as soon as one type of AI became popular a bunch of copycats or similars popped up. Like Midjourney and all the other image AI's.
We saw with Siri led to Alexa, Cortana, Bigsby and Google Assistant. I don't see why an AGI would be any different.

Why stop there? Why not have AI raise your kids for you too. Take them to school. Even have an AI tell your kids it loves them twice a day in a gentle soothing voice.
