Just a heads up you'll need a PA ID before you can get the title/registration if you don't already have one.

Surface rust won't be an issue.

Erie is a decent choice has a few jump parks, Presque Isle State Park, Erie Zoo.
Waldameer has free admission, free parking, you pay only if you want to do rides and has a water park attached.
The children's museum downtown is good for young kids.

Reply to comment by redarrow7216 in I have a ventless propane fireplace insert that had a 100 gallon tank outside. Can I replace it with a refillable 10 gallon tank? by KevinAnniPadda
The larger tanks have the ability to hold temperature better. If the heater is using a large amount of propane the smaller tanks can ice up quicker than the larger tanks.
And yes the pressure drop isn't noticeable in short runs but some use 1/2" black pipe like natural gas and a grill size tank will have a hard time if you're out like 20ft.

That close the 20lb tank should be fine. Depending on how large the heater is you may only run into problems when it's very cold and the tank is low.

The answer is maybe. Depending on how cold it gets where you are and how long of a run it is to the heater the small tank may not provide enough pressure. A 40lb tank might be a good compromise, still a larger size but small enough to be moderately easy to transport for filling.

I'm pretty happy I live 1/2 mile into Erie county so my kid goes to LeBoeuf.
We've got our share of crazies but they are definitely ramped up in Crawford.

Reply to Winter driving in PA all seasons vs Snow tires. What do you have and why? by RemoteStatement
Pretty much always used all season tires with a few exceptions when I could get the winters for cheap.
Never had any instances where winters would have made a massive difference here in Erie.
Current vehicles are an AWD Nissan Altima and 4wd Toyota Tundra.

Reply to Driving from VA to Buffalo on Friday.. Considering the forecast, what route will be best? by Attainted
Head to 64, to RT20, to RT19, then 79 will take you all the way to 90.
79 will be boring and mostly straight north of Pittsburgh, 90 from Erie to Buffalo is the same. Fill up with gas before you get to PA to save yourself to 60 cents a gallon.
Weather looks clear here in Erie through Sunday afternoon.

Keystones are what you want. However you won't find a displayport one because they're too big to fit.

Reply to 3/4HP Jet Pump - max pressure settings? by Kizznez
I've been running a 3/4hp jet pump with a 40/60 switch for the last 15 years.
However changing the pressure limits won't make a difference if the pump can't maintain the flow.
For example my pump will start running about 3 minutes after starting a shower and will continue running holding about 35psi until the water is shut off.

Hit up r/Justrolledintotheshop and you'll see exactly why the safety inspections are a good thing.
Sure there's some shit shops out there but every shop I've been in has the labor rates listed and you're within your rights to say no and walk away.

Reply to Car registered / plated in PA, moved to NJ, now back in PA still have plate by PlaneTry4277
If you visit a PA DMV you don't actually need a camera card to renew your license. You'll wait in line for a card, pay $10, then wait in line for a pic.
Plate is a maybe. Depends if the number has been reissued. Easiest way would be to hit a vehicle notary service or car dealer and have them try to renew it for you. Otherwise they'll just issue you a new plate.

This sounds like Berkheimer here in Erie. I went through something similar when I moved townships.
In the end it was easier to stop communicating with them through the mail. I took everything they were asking for and went to the closest office. Said look this is all the paperwork, I've paid everything, and owe nothing. Person I talked to agreed and I made sure to get paperwork from them showing the account was cleared. Never heard from them again.

My fault I missed the 2" size. You're going to be limited in that size to likely roller or delrin bearings. Neither is terrible just won't last as long.
